About Okay to Work

Why this exists

Contractors, property managers and venues collect a certificate of insurance from every vendor, then keep track of them by hand, in spreadsheets and inbox folders. An expired or underinsured certificate is easy to miss, and it costs real money when something goes wrong: an injury on site, a claim, or a surprise bill at your insurer's year-end audit.

Okay to Work is software that reads each certificate, checks it against your requirements and tells you in plain English what is wrong and what to ask the vendor for. Human verification is included: anything the software can't read clearly is checked by a person before it reaches you.

Who runs it

Okay to Work is a product of YiPHee, run by Abhishek V, an independent software developer based in India. YiPHee is the name you may see on receipts. It is in early access: the checking software is live, and I onboard each early customer personally while the dashboard is being built. Calls happen during US business hours.

How we work

  • Reports describe what a certificate says. They are not insurance advice; your broker decides that.
  • Your files are used only for your report, and free scans are deleted after 30 days.
  • Anything read by AI is checked by a person before it reaches you.
  • We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
